The G7a/T1 is a variant of German torpedo G7a, used during World War II. Powered by a steam engine generating a drag of bubbles, it was unguided and intended for attacks on surface vessels. It was about 7.16 metres long, had a calibre of 533 mm, and could reach a speed of 44 knots over a range of 6,000 metres. Logive contained up to 280 kg of explosives. Although powerful, its visible signature reduced its effectiveness against alerted targets.
