The "Czech hedgehog" is a steel anti-tank obstacle designed to block or slow the advance of armoured vehicles. Composed of three cross metal beams, it remains effective even on irregular or sandy terrains. Invented in Bohemia, it was widely used during World War II, notably by Axis forces, to strengthen strategic positions against mechanized assaults. In particular, he was found on the landing beaches in Normandy, where he was used to hinder the progress of the Allied forces.
