Removable turret STG mod. 35/37
Developed in the 1930s by the Technical Section of Engineering, the Removable Turrend STG Mod. 35/37 was intended to quickly strengthen campaign positions and intervals of the French fortification. Installed in a concrete or semi-buried tank, it offered compact armored protection to a servant equipped with a 1914 hotchkiss machine gun.
Produced at more than 600 copies, it was used on several fronts in 1940. Its massive silhouette, its complex shapes and its very functional appearance make it an original subject for Dioramas of French fortifications, advanced positions or struggle scenes of the Campagne de France.
One of these turrets remained famous thanks to the soldier Jules Beaulieu, who resisted alone in his position near the bridge of the sarveau in May 1940.
